Frankenstein PS3 Service/YLOD Fix

- 40nm RSX retrofitted.

- Voltage reduced to accommodate more efficient RSX (official Sony way/bd3504)

- Both cell and rsx will be delidded (IHS are not reglued)

- Clock battery replaced

- Board is ultrasonically cleaned (if needed)

- 3d printed cell plug installed.

- OEM thermal pads are used.

- RIP-Felix's Tantalizer boards with Low ESR Panasonic tantalum capacitors and MLCC capacitors added for additional filtering of power.

- Consoles will be stress tested for 3 days.

- Service comes with 12 month warranty.

- Blu-ray drive repair is not included. If you’d like your Blu-ray drive working, it’s an extra $100.

Shipping logistics: You buy the service and ship me your console (make sure to use adequate padding and the console is tight inside of box). I generate a shipping label and mail finished console back. Turnaround time will be within one week.

How Mail-In Repair Works

  1. Buy the service: Choose whether to add Blu-ray drive repair (+$100) at checkout.

  2. Ship your console to me: Use plenty of padding so the console is tight inside the box.

  3. I rebuild it: 40nm RSX retrofit, delidded Cell and RSX, Tantalizer boards, new clock battery, then a 3-day stress test.

  4. I ship it back: I create the return shipping label and mail your console back. Turnaround is within one week.

Compatible Models

The Frankenstein service is for these backward-compatible fat PS3 models: CECHA01, CECHB01, and CECHE01. Not sure which model you have? The model number is printed on the label on the back of the console. If you’re still unsure, contact me before shipping.
